the office space
There were some interesting colour choices on the walls when I moved into the Inn. My wardrobe is 98.9% black. I mostly prefer black and white photos to colour. My living space is grey, white, and black. The only colour comes from a few plants that I somehow miraculously manage to keep alive. If colour aversion exists, I’m pretty sure I have it.
Here is a quick before and after shot of what was originally a gift shop/business center (remember those?!) and is now my office. This space is now very soothing and relaxing to me…. because isn’t that the goal when faced with stacks of bookkeeping entries to process after a busy summer season and before an October year end??
All of the guest rooms have been painted a calm and relaxing grey - covering walls of burgundy, forest green, and peach (a lot of peach). There are still a few cream and burgundy walls left in the dining room. It took me almost 20 months to decide how to best use the space and this winter we’ll be pulling the trigger on my ideas. Looking forward to the next phase!
Let me know if you’re also team Chromophobic… there’s comfort in numbers.
