Welcome to my first blog post!  Fair warning: I have not been super successful in my former blogging attempts (with City Girl Cakes).  In a fast world of scrolling pictures and 140 characters or less, I debated even starting one... but here I am, because this little island deserves more than a snapshot in time.  And I want to share it with the world.

So, what will I talk about here? 

Isle Madame: my old hometown turned new hometown;
The Clairestone Inn: the latest in my entrepreneurial adventure; 
My family: they're part of the deal, too;
Motorcycle riding: because it's so damn fun

Through those 3 main topics,  we'll explore the local Acadian culture, travel advice, and likely some cake talk!
